Battery Storage Bolsters Renewable Energy Integration

Battery storage systems have played a crucial role in integrating and stabilizing the increasing share of solar and wind energy in the Texas power grid. As a result, battery storage capacity in ERCOT has grown exponentially, reaching 2,300 megawatts (MW) in 2025, a significant increase from just 150 MW in 2021.
