In Europe, Tesla uses CCS on modern cars

European Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles use CCS2, and many Supercharger sites are open to selected non-Tesla vehicles.

Older Tesla vehicles and older sites may have different connector details, so always check compatibility in the Tesla app or vehicle navigation.

Superchargers are reliable but not always cheapest

Tesla sites are often reliable and easy to use, especially for Tesla owners. Pricing for non-Tesla drivers can vary and may be cheaper with a membership if you charge frequently.

CCS networks such as Ionity, Fastned and EnBW can match or exceed Supercharger speeds depending on vehicle and site.

Which should you choose?

Choose the stop that is reliable, compatible, fairly priced and well located. Brand matters less than stall count, charging power and whether the charger is working when you arrive.
